From a "fixer upper" to a "showplace", Julie coordinated wood floors, new windows, window treatments, paint colors, lighting, doors. The bathroom remodels were nothing short of spectacular from new floors, shower tile and surrounds, countertops, and all the accessories (toilet, sinks, hardware). She also coordinated the exterior paint colors and siding.

Julie is simply the best! If I could give her 1,000 stars I would. We hired Julie to help us with our project in Walnut Creek. I found Julie on Houzz and after interviewing her over the phone, I decided to hire Julie because she seemed like a great designer and project manager. We remodeled all of the hardwood floors in our home, our kitchen, bathroom, and living room area. During the beginning stages, Julie helped us pick out all of our materials. My husband is very price conscious and Julie always respected our choices. She would show us options at different price points and was there every step of the way as we picked out everything. I loved all of the materials Julie helped us pick out. Everyone who has come over to see our new home always compliments on on how well our house flows together really beautifully. I really credit Julie and her great sense of design as to why our home looks so great. All of the vendors Julie recommended were great to deal with. Julie has lots of contacts and gets discounts at many places, which is so helpful.

During the second phase of our project where we were executing everything, Julie was invaluable. We have a three year old so we didn't live in our house for 8 weeks. Julie helped manage our project. She was our eyes and ears on the ground when we couldn't be in our home. She worked with our contractor and foreman to ensure everything was being installed correctly. Our contractor was not easy to deal with at all and Julie worked extra hard to have a good working relationship with him. She was always professional while advocating for what the best thing would be for the kitchen to look great. She communicated with us all the time via WhatsApp, texts, and phone calls. She went above and beyond to order supplies for us and pick up things when necessary. Without Julie our project would have not ran as smoothly as it did and we certainly would have not finished on time. Julie has great expertise with knowing what is happening next on a project and what steps need to happen to make sure the project finishes on time. We had completely small remodel projects before but nothing to this scale. With Julie's experience and knowledge, I never once questioned that our project would turn out beautiful. One of the things I respect most about Julie's work style is that she is always willing to respect your opinion but will also give you her honest opinion. This is a delicate balance and Julie is the master of hearing her clients' voices while giving a great design opinion.

Julie also helped with finishing details like picking out artwork and furniture Everything looks great! We are so happy with the final outcome and can't wait to welcome more of our friends and family into our beautiful new home. On top of it all, my three old loves Julie! She was commenting how nice Ms. Julie is. For me, Julie being great with my three year old was just the cherry on top of everything. We will certainly use Julie for future projects!

I scheduled a near-total renovation of my condo, including the kitchen and two bathrooms, but was completely overwhelmed by the number of choices and decisions to be made on materials and aesthetics. My contractor introduced me to Julie, who very patiently and methodically worked with me to ascertain what styles I liked and advised me on specific choices for everything, from a new bathtub to cabinet handles.

We went together to select the new tile and countertops to go with my new cabinets. We also shopped for a new suite of kitchen appliances including a "counter-depth" refrigerator, which I didn't know was a "thing" to think about.

During our master bath remodel and closet conversion to a half-bath, Julie helped us with every aspect of design. First gathering our style through our Houzz favorites, then suggesting colors and material that were both appealing to us and fit our budget. Her suggestions were spot on and it made picking out items easy.

The result was an incredible transformation from the circa 1965 purple tiled bathroom to a curb-less walk-in shower with a tiled linear drain, water closet, huge medicine cabinets doubling as vanity mirrors, bountiful light, and the list goes on.

We remodeled our house in Alamo after purchase and before moving in. What started as a remodel of a couple rooms slowly crept to a full house remodel. Julie came recommended by the contractor we were working with. I am so glad we decided to hire Julie... for so many reasons.

Julie was proactive and helped us get ahead of important decisions in a way that made our lives much easier and complimented the last-minute decision requests we got from our contractor. Every week, she outlined what decisions we needed to make and would send us her top 3-5 recommendations. That saved us hours of research and also, ensured that whatever we chose would look good in the house.

Julie also had a broad network or stores and contacts in the area that she would recommend to help us accomplish whatever we were looking to do... and her recos were always spot on. Julie was always willing to jump in and help whenever we needed her and made several recommendations that I never would have considered that really made our project run a lot more smoothly and resulted in a beautiful end product- I love my new space!

I would highly recommend working with a designer if you're considering a remodel (an absolute must) and would recommend hiring Julie. She's got an eye for beauty and sophistication, is flexible with changes, and will go above and beyond to make sure your house is beautiful.

I cannot speak highly enough of Julie! She was recommended by a friend - I wanted a design and color expert for a master bath remodel. She helped me pick the tile, the design layout of the shower, the floor tile, and the paint after carefully listening to me. I wanted something neutral, clean and classically simply. We arranged with a contractor to do a complete kitchen remodel, family room update, and downstairs replacement of rugs with wood-look luxury vinyl flooring. My wife's biggest concern was coordinating cabinet stain, flooring, counters, backsplash, and wall colors. Although we had never worked with an interior designer, I suggested we try one. Our contractor suggested Julie and we contacted her. She was fantastic to work with and not pushy. Julie brought a complete project prospective where we were just focused on the individual decisions. She would often say, "you know if your going to do that; you should consider doing this also." She would take us to a supplier and ask us to tell her what we liked, then would give us options to choose from around what we liked, often saying I like this but it's your house and your choice. Bottom line is everything came out gorgeous and fantastically coordinated. Our contractor was gone for a week while the backsplash, flooring, fireplace hearths, and paint were completed. When he walked in his first comment was, "Wow, this looks really great, everything goes together so well!" I think that says a lot when the general contractor is impressed. Our neighbor tells everyone they have to go see the Didlake's "Martha Stewart" house remodel. Contracting Julie to help us with our remodel was the best decision we made in the project.

We recently moved from the South Bay area to the Contra Costa area and needed help to decide which colors to paint our kitchen cabinets. We started with choosing colors for the kitchen but ended up doing a whole lot more. Julie guided us and helped with a full kitchen remodel, that consisted of the following:

• New cabinets
• New countertops
• New sinks
• Backsplash accents

After we finished our planning and design direction for the kitchen, we wanted to install new wood floors, paint the walls, redo the fireplace, redo our kid's bathrooms, as well select the right lighting and window treatments. Julie, supported us all the way through, providing us with sound design advice, selections, and colors to ensure everything would tie together and flow. Furthermore, she provided sourcing for materials, appliances, and contractors. We wouldn't have been able to get all this done if it wasn't for Julie from Showcase Your Place, Thank You, Julie!!!

Now that the project and the majority of the work is complete, we hope to continue working with Julie on interior design, as well as a few other projects later this year.

When I met Julie Giampaoli I had just decided to remodel and sell the 3 BR/2.5 bath house I had been living in for 19 years and was firmly stuck in the 1980s with brass fixtures, ugly oak cabinets, linoleum and laminate flooring. He brought the electrical and plumbing up to code, converted the MBR soaker tub to a gorgeous walk in shower with mosaic accents that is now a showstopper master retreat, installed new hardwood and tile flooring, tricked out a gorgeous new kitchen, and did dozens of smaller projects that pulled everything together. Julie stayed with me throughout, ensuring that everything stayed on track. This 4 month project is done and there have been rave reviews on the final look, but even better, both of my neighbors were so impressed they hired Julie and Francis to help them “remodel to live” in their 1988 houses.

If you want someone who walks in with preconceived notions of how things should be done and who will dampen your own sensibilities, then Julie may not be the person for you (although I am sure she would do that if that's what you want). If you have ever wondered how those home-improvement shows get things done so quickly yet come out looking so great it is because they use professionals. Working with Julie is like having your own personal HGTV episode without the hassle of the cameras and fake drama.

In fact, Julie removes the drama. Just try to remodel a bathroom or bedroom with your significant-other. Then reflect on all of the stress, outcome, and time expenditure that could have been avoided by having Julie orchestrate the process. Visiting all of those stores – tile, carpet, molding, paint, fixtures, and furniture – is a waste of time. The result is often incomplete and sometimes even amateurishly comical.
